Miss Sonia Comfort
Executive Officer

Sonia provides a diverse range of executive, administrative and secretariat support to the Council Chairman, members and staff. Her role includes providing direct support to the independent members, preparing briefs and reports, promoting educational material, managing website content, arranging and managing security, coordinating finance and overseeing the scheduling of all seminar requests. She became an integral part of the Consumer Council team shortly after its official launch.

Sonia first began her career in Defence in 1998 as the Project Management Assistant in the DMO Night Fighting and Surveillance Project, Project NINOX. She then joined the Lightweight Torpedo Project, the Djimindi Alliance Team for four years before joining the Defence Support Group as Executive Assistant to Mr Lindsay Kranz, the then Assistant Secretary Personnel Administration. Sonia also headed the executive support team for the new Office of the Head of Personnel Services Division, Mr Neville Tomkins.

Sonia resides in Canberra and enjoys fitness and nutrition, cooking, fine dining, cars, travel and her two staffies.
